Our fleet of barges and vessels come in a variety of sizes and specifications (please see our Fleet gallery for photos and specific information).  All vessels are available for long or short-term durations, and can be equipped to meet your specific needs and mobilized to and from your location.

Lift boats are unique vessels that can accommodate a variety of specialized needs and projects.  Our lift boats are self-propelled, self-elevating deck barges used for supporting a variety of inshore and offshore projects including light construction, drilling, coring, sampling, maintenance repair, oil response.

DIVE SERVICES

Comprehensive Dive Services

Northstar offers a variety of 24/7 emergency commercial dive services for marine salvage and underwater inspections. Safety is a primary concern with every project. All underwater inspections are performed in accordance with OSHA requirements utilizing certified and experienced personnel.  Our dive teams are equipped with latest dive equipment, including surface-supplied air hard hats.  Northstar also has a complete range of diving support equipment available including, diver detection, HD underwater video and photography and ultrasonic measurement units.

HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYS

Hydrographic and Geophysical Surveys

Northstar has the personal and resources to perform turnkey multibeam, magnetometer, side scan sonar and single beam hydrographic surveys. Northstar follows the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) standards. Examples of previously performed surveys include Archeological Surveys, Cable and Pipeline Surveys, Channel Conditioning/Clearance Surveys, Geological/Geophysical Surveys and search and recovery.

Emergency Spill Response

Northstar Marine is a recognized leader in responding to marine spills including and not limited to the B.P Deep Water Horizon spill, and owns an extensive inventory of specialized equipment including boats, barges, skimming systems, containment booms and shore-side storage tanks to address spills of any size.  In addition to marine oil spills, we also address the shoreline and equipment cleanup associated with these spills. We provide 24/7 Emergency Response services, and have developed an outstanding reputation for the quality of our work, our responsiveness and our ability to deliver cost-effective solutions.

Since 1990 Northstar Marine, Inc has performed hundreds of salvage and recovery projects. Specializing in the removal of commercial vessels, barges, aircraft, yachts, machinery and debris along with a variety of oversized hidden structures. These projects all present a unique series of obstacles and factors that require careful engineering, planning and a high degree of safety in order to reach a safe and successful conclusion.
